The Henry Wise Wood Off-Campus Education Program customizes and differentiates learning by offering students a diverse and varied choice of work opportunities. The program helps guide students to make informed decisions about their post-secondary education and/or career by providing practical, work-based (job site) training – as well as acquiring valuable, life-long skills, and earning high school credits. There are a variety of exciting courses to choose from within the Off-Campus Education Program including Work Experience and the Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP). Work Experience students can be found off-campus working in a multitude of positions or on campus working as Teacher Assistants (TAs) in the ACCESS, PLP and ESL classrooms, in addition to both academic and complementary course classrooms. RAP students work towards their apprenticeships in trade-related occupations. Job shadowing, exploratory career pathways, dual credit opportunities, internships, and other multi-disciplinary opportunitiesare also available for students to pursue.
